Samantha Bennett - Defence
  joined the Screech Owls when the team headed for the Little Stanley Cup Tournament in Ottawa
  keeps the bench loose with her sense of humour

Sarah Cuthbertson - Centre
  greatest moment in hockey was tying the tournament record with seven goals in one game during the Quebec International Peewee Tournament

Derek Dillinger - Centre / Left Wing
  his dad manages the Screech Owls so it can be tough being on the team sometimes
  he loves the physical side of the game

  he's smart and dependable, and can make a long pass
  he's also the team trivia expert - if it's in the Guinness Book of World Records he knows it

Gordie Griffith - Centre
  can score the big goal when it's necessary
  he's almost six feet tall and teammates affectionately call him "Gordie Giraffe"

Andy Higgins - Centre / Right Wing
  he's originally from Winnipeg
  known as the "Big Shot" - when he winds up with space, other teams run for cover

Jesse Highboy - Right Wing
  one of his favourite experiences was when the team visited his village of Waskaganish and learned about Cree customs
  has great hockey sense - and on an outdoor rink, he can rule

Lars Johanssen - Defence
  he's from Sweden, speaks 6 languages and loves it here
  his hockey style is about circles and back passes, and his plays are inventive and brilliant

Wilson Kelly - Defence
  he's a real team player - always dependable, always in position, always there to cheer his teammates on

Travis Lindsay - Left Wing
  as team captain, he's the Screech Owls' conscience
  he loves everything about hockey, even getting dressed, but his favourite thing is outdoor hockey on natural ice

Simon Milliken - Left Wing
  he may be the smallest player on the team, but when a goal's needed he's full of surprises

Liz Moscovitz - Left Wing
  she's quick, peppy, and never gives up - she'll be the first to tell you that she's stubborn
  she's determined to be a somebody some day

Wayne Nishikawa - Defence
  he's smart, has lots of skill, can win a game on his own, but can also lose it on his own
  he can clear a dressing room with his equipment bag

Fahd Noorizadeh - Defence / Right Wing
  math is his thing, and he tries to use mathematical thinking in hockey - he's always looking for the shortest route to get from point A to point B

Jenny Staples - Goal
  she likes the old stand-up style and playing the angles when it comes to goaltending
  her hero is Manon Rhéaume, who's now retired but was the first woman goaltender to get a lot of attention

Larry Ulmar - Assistant Coach
  "Data" is his nickname because he's a computer wiz and because he's into old space shows
  he used to play defence until a car accident left him paralysed

  he's been nicknamed the "Russian Rocket" because he's so fast
  his dream is to play for the Screech Owls as long as possible, and someday get drafted into the NHL

  he's got a nice glove hand - quick and smart with the puck - and when his game is on, the other team needs to watch out
  off the ice, he's into peanut-butter-and-tomato sandwiches
